What does it mean to Heal?
āI am Rooted, but I Flowā
Born in 2009 and raised in Shenzhen, I am a Hui high school student exploring the cultures we inherit: how theyāre preserved, reinterpreted, and sometimes lost in a modernizing world, and how culture, belief, and relationships shape the decisions we make about our lives and well-being.

Beginning with the question of how people understand the world they live in, I became, over time, increasingly interested in the forces that surround those understandingsāculture, belief, relationships, institutions, and history.
A treatment may begin in a laboratory. But whether it is trusted, resisted, interpreted, remembered, or accepted happens somewhere else: in families, communities, institutions, histories, and stories.
That is the space I want to keep studying.
